Scientist/Engineer

Job Description
As a member of the Optical Communication department, you will collaborate directly with the chief scientist responsible of the project. You will be involved in all aspects of the development of our Free Space Optical Systems, from the design to the field tests. This includes physics (atmospheric propagation, Lasers, etc.), mechanics, opto-mechanics, optics, fiber-optics, optical Amplifiers, electro-optics, electronics, control system, software (Windows, DSP, Matlab, etc.), for both current and new projects.
This position is a great opportunity for a junior person motivated and willing to learn. 

Requirements
Master or PhD in Engineering (Optical or EE). US Citizenship (Ability to obtain secret clearance is a plus)

Ability to deal with the multi-disciplinary aspect of the job (both at the theoretical and practical levels), enthusiasm, motivation and capability to learn quickly are essential to your success in this position.

Skills
Experience/Education in several of the following field is expected:
o Electronic engineering
o Optical Engineering
o Mechanical Engineering
o Optics
o Fiber-Optics (Transmitters, Receivers, EDFAs, etc..)
o Telecommunications
o Control System
o C, C++, DSP, Matlab, Labview
Experience in Free space Optics is a plus.
